Welcome to Kansas
Well...we are finally getting settled in. Ruby and I got here on Wednesday of last week and all of our stuff came in the moving truck on Friday. So Mike and I have been spending the last 4 days or so just trying to unpack and get a little settled in. I kind of freaked out the first time I saw the apartment...IT'S LITTLE AND IT DOES NOT FEEL LIKE HOME! :( The more we unpack the better it seems though. As the boxes move out, it doesn't feel so cramped. We are just down to finishing arranging and unpacking Ruby's room and then we will finally be done!!! Then we will probably post some pictures of the place on our Flickr album for everyone to see. We have also had some more excitement the last couple days with a furry little friend that came with the place! haha We had to lay mouse traps last night and we caught one earlier today...hopefully it is the only one! What can you expect I guess when you're surrounded by fields. :)
I got to go into the school on Thursday and meet the director of the nursing program and enroll for my classes this fall. I found out that I am number one on the wait list for clinicals this fall and that there is still a large possibility of getting in. I just need one person to drop out! If that happens it would only take me two years instead of three to finish my program...and I would get to help deliver babies this spring!!! I cannot wait to do that! All of the staff I met seemed very welcoming though and made me feel very at ease. So I guess even if it takes me longer at least I know everyone is nice there.
All in all, we are started to get a settled in. I think Ruby can't wait until everything is done and she can roam freely without Mike and I constantly saying "No Ruby...don't touch that!" to everything she goes near! Also for anyone we forgot to tell, our new address is:

Will post again soon!! We miss everyone soooo... much! Christmas won't get here soon enough!!!
